Paddling in Stormarn
A paradise for paddlers: the river Trave in the North and the Bille in the South entice you to go for a paddle with your family, friends or colleagues. From the water you can enjoy that very special view of the countryside. And while the paddles glide rhythmically through the water, you can leave everyday life long behind.
Lower Trave
Lower Trave Below Bad Oldesloe, the river Trave becomes calmer and flows more quietly through the extensive green valleys, thus proving to be particularly valuable as a natural recreation area.
From Hamberge on, the river Trave is also navigable for motor boats. Why not go canoeing from Bad Oldesloe to Klein Wesenberg? The tour with a distance of 14 km is easily manageable even for unexprerienced paddlers. If you still have the energy, you can paddle on to the new rest area and bivouac point in Hamberge (+3.5km) or even all the way to Lübeck (+10.9km).
Hire a canoe on the river Trave If you have not got your own canoe, rubber dinghy or your very own hand-carved logboat, simply hire a canoe. The Kanu-Center Lothar Krebs offers packages including a shuttle service and a bike hire, so that you will end your tour where you started, or maybe continue your tour by bicycle.
