Hiking in Stormarn

Hiking is one of the most popular outdoor activities in Germany. Walking is good for you: it strengthens the heart, gets the circulation going and builds up your muscles. Hikers will be thrilled with Stormarn. Many short and long trails invite you to get some real exercise. There is a wide choice of looped walks and even multi-day tours including overnight stays. Put on your walking boots and get walking - along meadows, fields, lakes and rivers!

Hiking trail Stormarnweg

The hiking trail Stormarnweg with a length of approximately 108 kilometers takes you once across the District of Stormarn. 

Starting in the South in Reinbek, the way brings you via Sachsenwald, Stormarn Switzerland, Ahrensburg and Bargteheide on to Bad Oldesloe, Reinfeld and Groß Wesenberg ending in Lübeck. You will walk through a diverse variety of natural settings and experience the scenic variety that Stormarn offers at first hand. The Stormarnweg is marked by yellow arrows with a red border.

 Travel comfortably by public transport from Hamburg:
 Take the S21 to Reinbek Take the U1 to Großhansdorf Take the train to Ahrensburg, Bad Oldesloe or Reinfeld
